What this site is for
This is patient education about the breast as an area, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It is an area guide rather than a procedure page: it answers which of several problems you have, which routes address it, and how to tell them apart. Each operation is described in detail on the guide this site links to, and repeating that description here would help nobody.
The distinction the site is built on
The breast is the part of the body where a medical question and an aesthetic request most often arrive in the same sentence. Asymmetry, a congenital difference, a breast rebuilt after cancer treatment and a reduction performed for neck and shoulder symptoms are medical matters, and they are assessed as such. A request for more volume, a higher position or a different nipple-areola proportion is an aesthetic matter, and it is treated as a legitimate one. Keeping the two apart is what stops a medical finding being carried along underneath an operation planned for appearance.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not name products or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present a device, a garment or a cream as a way of lifting a breast, because none of them lifts one. It does not recommend an implant over fat transfer or the reverse, and it does not treat removal of an implant as an undoing: the envelope has usually changed by then, and the guides say so. It also does not tell you which option to choose, because that follows from an examination.
The limits of a website
Nothing here can tell you what proportion of your own breast is fat, whether your skin retains the recoil to carry more volume, how much of the difference between your two sides is chest wall, or whether a finding you have noticed needs imaging. Those answers come from someone examining you, and on this part of the body they sometimes come from imaging as well. Use this site to arrive at an assessment with better questions, and treat anything you read here as general information rather than as advice about you.
